In 2004, we formed the Okuma High Performance Motorsports industry team. The sole goal of this team is to develop machining technology that gives shops a competitive advantage in the production of precision performance components—and, therefore, a distinct edge on the racetrack. Like well-built race cars, our machining products are built from the ground up, and they set the standard for the production of engine components ranging from pistons to cylinder heads, and from camshafts to wheels. Today, we work with partners such as Richard Childress Racing (RCR), Chip Ganassi Racing Teams, Inc., Comp Cams, Xceldyne Technologies, Diamond Racing, and Del West USA. Together we work to refine our precision machining techniques, all for the sake of seeing the checkered flag as often as possible.

Richard Childress Racing (RCR)

As one of the premier NASCAR racing teams, Richard Childress Racing knows the importance of precision in the production of competition chassis and engine components. At the RCR Campus, the practical application of precision machining to complex parts is realized in the Richard Childress Racing/Okuma Technology Center, which is home to 15 Okuma machines that produce a variety of competition parts. With the use of ADMAC Parts and the Okuma OSP control, RCR engineers are able to program machines to meet and maintain the high standards demanded by NASCAR.
